Just north of Sydney, this holiday retreat was designed as a seamless balance of modern comfort and coastal simplicity. The brief was to create a garden that could support poolside leisure, outdoor entertaining, and relaxed beachside living, while remaining resilient to the coastal conditions.

Our approach combined clean, durable materials with layered planting to soften the architecture and tie the property into its setting. Concrete and hardwood surfaces grounded the outdoor spaces, while a restrained mix of coastal natives and sculptural exotics added colour, texture, and movement. The pool was framed as the heart of the design, offering a private oasis for gathering and retreat.

The result is a landscape that feels both effortless and enduring — functional for entertaining, calming for daily use, and deeply connected to the rhythms of the coast. It is modern coastal living, distilled.
