Set against the backdrop of Murray’s Beach, this project was designed as a seamless extension of the surrounding bushland. The brief was to create a garden that blended structure with softness, celebrating the natural beauty of the site while offering functional spaces for retreat and connection.
Our approach anchored the design with a sculptural Queensland bottle tree, complemented by hardy natives and select exotics chosen for resilience, seasonal texture, and colour. Pathways and seating areas were tucked into the planting to invite movement and quiet pause, while recycled materials — corten steel, sleepers, and brick — grounded the garden with an organic permanence that felt both rustic and refined.
The result is a landscape that balances strength with sensitivity: functional for gatherings, calming for reflection, and deeply tied to the character of the local environment. It is a garden that honours its place, while offering sanctuary year-round.
